I have not written anything in a long time. I never feel like I have anything very inspiring to write. A movie just started that I have always liked a lot.  Its the movie "Pay It Forward".  It begins with the teacher giving his class an assignment.  This is what was written on the board: Think of an idea to change the world and then put it into action.  What idea would you have to change the world?  How would you put that into action?

So what is it for you?

Teaching Opportunity in Chinese Schools

This is a great opportunity for a team of your students to spend one month in China teaching English in local high schools and universities. The schools are covering the food and housing (which is why the field expense is only $137). The students will all be working through official Chinese government teaching visas, but will be connected to the strategy of our workers in China. Many teams are needed to teach in several different schools in the province. Please forward this message to you directors and encourage them to build a team for one of the Chinese schools. This kind of opportunity (and price) does not happen every day.

CHINA: Teams of college students are needed to teach English as a second language to high school and college students in Southern China. Students will serve in teams of 5-10 and will teach 2-3 hours each morning, 5 days a week, but should be flexible to the needs of the schools. Students will have many opportunities to witness and develop small groups of believers. These groups will be followed up on by long-term workers in the area. Student teams MUST prepare at least 10 lessons before they come; guidance and curriculum will be provided by the field supervisor.

THIS PROJECT IS ONLY FOR TEAMS; IT IS NOT OPEN TO INDIVIDUAL APPLICANTS. TEAMS CAN BE ANY SIZE.

Dates: July 13 - August 11, 2006

Cost: $137 plus airfare
